Alex Ekubo, a Nollywood actor, has spoken out over the horrific killing of a student in Sokoto.

According to two witnesses, a female student in Nigeria was beaten to death and set on fire by fellow students who accused her of making “blasphemous” words in a WhatsApp group.

Following the attack, the school in Sokoto, Nigeria’s northern state, was immediately closed.

According to a spokeswoman for the Sokoto state command, two suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of the student, Deborah Samuel.

In response to the murder, actor Alex Ekubo has called on the government to act quickly and put the murderers in the prison.

“GOD, PLEASE GRANT THE SOULS OF ALL THOSE WHO HAVE DIED IN NIGERIA’S SENSELESS RELIGIOUS, POLITICAL, AND ETHNIC WARS A HALL PASS TO HEAVEN, THEY HAVE ALREADY LIVED AND DIED IN HELL.”
