“Mofos will do anything for clout,” says Omah Lay, a 25-year-old singer, of Victony, 22, and Ruger, 22

There appears to be some kind of tension among Nigeria’s new crop of artists, as jabs have been thrown from one to the other in a very heated manner.

It all started when Ruger, 22-year-old Michael Adebayo Olayinka, sparked a social media firestorm by tweeting that he is better than all of his colleagues, including Buju, now known as BNXN.

Ruger did a Q&A with his supporters, and one Twitter user asked if his boss, D’Prince, is aware that BNXN is superior to him (Ruger).

Ruger didn’t take the remark lightly, and in response, he posted a screenshot of a chat with D’Prince in which he stated that “Ruger is nobody’s mate.”

However, in the comments section, a fan with the username @BNXN001 wrote:

Lol bnxn is better than you, and with your limited resources, there’s nothing you can do about it. Samuel L. Jackson

Ruger’s response to this user has generated social media fury. On Twitter, he stated,

Buju is good, but not as good as I am. Everything I’ve done has been RUGER since the beginning. JUST RUGER is to blame for all of my successes. I’m always proud to take the stage around the world and perform my own hits while the audience sings along. Do you see the difference?

In light of the situation, Stanley Omah Didia, popularly known as Omah Lay, appears to have sided with BNXN, as he outed Ruger in a new tweet and slammed Victony, referring to both artists as minors.

His tweet starts with,

Ruger, get your mind out of the gutter, they’re talking about bnxn for this app smh!! Mofos would do anything for clout out here, just like Victony LMAO my tweet the other day, y’all are truly children.
