Applications for the 2023 IBRO African Regional Committee (IBRO-ARC) Fellowships are now open. The IBRO African Regional Committee (IBRO-ARC) is offering fellowships of up to €4,000 each to young African researchers who have obtained a PhD or equivalent degree (in basic or clinical research) and who have demonstrated their ability to conduct independent research.
Potential applicants should seek a host institution (in Africa or abroad) and provide a research proposal as well as detailed information on the use of the funds. The duration of the exchange should be a minimum of four weeks. A strong rationale must be provided to ensure that the applicant will return home after the exchange, in addition to an explanation of how the newly acquired knowledge and skills will be used to advance neuroscience research in their home country.

The applicant must
Reside in Africa
Be 45 years of age or younger
Have published significant research in basic or clinical neuroscience.
Selection criteria include the academic qualifications of the applicant and the host, as well as the quality of the research proposal (accompanied by a structured research plan).
