SP The JAMB officials had been evacuated to a safe place, according to Benjamin Hundeyin, a police spokesman for Lagos Command, who verified the event to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

“One Prof Odunsi, a Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) officer who lodged at the hotel was stolen off his two phones, one HP Laptop, and N20,000 cash,” Hundeyin claimed.

“Similarly, two female JAMB officials who stayed at the hotel had their phones and jewelry stolen,” he said.

The hoodlums shot the hotel’s gateman, just known as Peter, 40, who attempted to stop them from fleeing, according to the spokesman.

The gateman was brought to an unidentified hospital, where he subsequently died, according to him, and his body was placed at the Ikorodu General Hospital mortuary.

When the hoodlums saw the police vehicle approaching, they all left in a Lexus SUV, according to him.

“The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, has promised that no stone will be left unturned.” “He’s ordered a massive manhunt for the perpetrators,” he stated.
