Former Tottenham attacker Darren Bent has warned Frank Lampard, Chelsea’s interim manager, that his career could end abruptly.
In his brief managerial career, Lampard has experienced two dismissals. The consequences in both cases—first with Chelsea and then with Everton—were intolerable and unacceptable to the supporters and club owners.
The 44-year-old was reinstated by Chelsea’s owners to serve as manager until the end of the current campaign, but he has lost 5 games in a row, including the Blues’ Champions League loss to Real Madrid.
Bent cautions that if Lampard’s disastrous second stint at Chelsea continues, he may stop his managerial career.
If things don’t get better soon, Lampard might never land another managing position, he said.
Lampard is obviously out of his element. Why is Kante being used up front?
He warned talkSPORT that if Chelsea’s current form continues, he might not be given another management position.
